pa-BOOM has undertaken a series of projects using lanterns as part of community based celebrations & events. lantern making workshops can lead to processions - on dark nights through fields & lanes, around village greens or along town centre streets. pa-BOOM is currently researching and developing a new project. this will involve the construction of a huge lantern depicting the first rhinoceros ever to appear in europe in 1515. this event was captured in an engraving by the german artist albrecht dürer which is currently in the collection at the british museum.
